John’s Practice of Law and Community Service
He is a member of the Allen County Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. Within the Allen County Bar Association, he has served on committees relating to business and employment matters.
In addition, he has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce, where he served on committees in the business and education areas. He also served on the board of Study Connection for three years.
While a member of the Anthony Wayne Lions Club for over 32 years, John received his Club’s President’s Award in 1976 and served as president in 1981. He also received the International Lions President’s Award in 1986 and the International Melvin Jones Fellow Award in 1993 for his work with schools in the drug awareness area.
John’s other community service activities include working on his church’s Pastoral Council, co-chairing both his high school and college fraternity reunion committees, as well as creating and serving on the attorney panel for Arlington Park, his homeowner’s association. He also does pro bono work for the Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana, Inc., the Allen County Bar Association’s Ask the Lawyer radio program and the Harlan Christian Youth Center.
