ABOUT JOHN M. WHITMORE
John Whitmore was born in Indianapolis, Indiana (1943), graduated from Speedway High School (1961), and Indiana University at Bloomington (1965). His degree was in Business with a major in Finance.
He went on to law school at IU and graduated in 1968 with a Juris Doctor degree. He was awarded “The Book” in Evidence. He interned with the Baker & Barnhart law firm in Bloomington his senior year.
He entered the service after law school as a first lieutenant and served in the U.S. Army in Air Defense Artillery. After two months of Officer Basic Training in El Paso, Texas, he served in Athens, Greece for 22-months, first in a Battalion Missile Team and then at the Battalion level as the Adjutant.
Upon returning to Indiana in 1970, he began his law practice in Fort Wayne, where has completed over 37 years of practice.
