Dear Clients, Friends and Colleagues:
After 41 years of practicing law, I will be going into semi-retirement December 31, 2011. I will be closing my office in the beautiful Lincoln Tower and working out of my home office on a few unfinished matters. I'll also be handling some estate administration for clients and friends. I hope to be able to handle estate matters at a lower rate and give back to clients and friends who have been so good and so supportive of me.
The decision to go into semi-retirement has been bittersweet and, at times, difficult. I have felt honored to be able to assist you with legal services and have been thankful for the gratifying relationships and friendships that have resulted with many of my clients. Words can not express the gratitude I feel for these relationships and friendships and the support friends and clients have given me through the years.
Its hard to believe...and even harder to admit....that my legal career began in 1968, when as a senior in law school. I interned with a law firm in Bloomington, Indiana, while in law school. I didn't start the practice of law in Fort Wayne until after I had served two years as a first lieutenant and then as captain in the U.S. Army, Air Defense Artillery, in Athens, Greece. The year was 1970 and my daughter and son had not yet been born. Over the years, I have been part of several different law firms, adding members and changing members as law firms do. I carry with me fond memories from each firm and each of the lawyers and staff members.
